Katy Perry is joining ABC’s “American Idol”revival as its first judge.

The “Chained to the Rhythm” singer took to Twitter on Tuesday to voice her excitement.

“So thrilled @ABCNetwork is bringing back @AmericanIdol, and I’m bringing it back to the music,” she tweeted. “See you at auditions.”

ABC made the announcement Tuesday during the network’s presentation to advertisers at Lincoln Center, and it couldn’t come at a better time. On Monday, Perry announced her new album and tour even as rumors of “Idol” were bubbling.

Now that it’s settled, here are five stars we’d like to see join Perry on the reboot:

The international pop superstar, who plays Gianni Versace’s lover in Season Three of the biographical drama “American Crime Story,” proved himself to be an honest and much-loved coach on “The Voice Australia.”

He’s a talented musician who has been known to express himself. Oh, and he and Perry used to date. So that could add a little drama. But isn’t that what every singing competition needs?

Talk about star power. While she’s proved herself to be a fierce guest judge on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” she’s super likable. And just imagine the ensembles?

He’s not a hater. The hip-hop artist, who recently chaperoned his cousin to her high school prom, is open to different genres as he proved on his latest album, “More Life.”

Oh, sure, she’s been down this road before. But Bey, who is pregnant with twins (and may want to stay in one place for a bit), is as talented as they come. She’d hold contestants to a high standard.
