4-vehicle Corona crash shuts 15 Freeway during rush hour, injures 1
A four-vehicle wreck on the 15 Freeway in Corona on Wednesday shut down all traffic lanes and left at least one person injured.
The crash happened about 4:50 p.m. on northbound I-15, just south of Sixth Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency said two pickup trucks, an SUV and a sedan collided in the middle of the freeway.
There was no word on what triggered the collision.
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived about 10 minutes later and provided treatment to an occupant of one of the vehicles involved, but it was unclear whether the victim was transported to a hospital.
CHP officers opened the fast lane by 5:15 p.m. and started the process of moving the wrecked vehicles to the shoulder of the freeway.
