4 displaced by bedroom fire in Temecula

A bedroom caught fire in a two-story house in Temecula on Monday evening, Feb. 5, displacing a family of four, according to a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department news release.

The fire was reported at 6:30 p.m. in the 43000 block of Dodardo Lane, south of Meadows Park. Arriving firefighters found light smoke showing and the fire on the second floor.

Two adults and two children were displaced due to extensive smoke damage in the upstairs.

Damage was estimated at $50,000, according to the news release. No cause was listed.
