21-year-old man arrested in South Gate in death of body found in Mead Valley

The investigation into a body found in Mead Valley on Monday led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man in South Gate, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

Jesus Plancarte was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of murder and booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta, jail records showed. No bail has been set.

Joel Cisneros, 41, of Good Hope, was found dead at the 21000 block of Byron Road in Mead Valley, an unincorporated community between the cities of Perris and Riverside, a sheriff’s news release said.

The investigation led to Plancarte, who is also accused of a misdemeanor count f reckless driving.

The release said no other information is available, as the investigation is ongoing.
