HOUSE MAJORITY WHIP STEVE SCALISE STILL IN CRITICAL CONDITION A lone gunman injured six after opening fire early Wednesday at a GOP baseball practice for the annual congressional baseball game. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise is still in critical condition after being shot in the hip, as the “shot travelled across his pelvis, fracturing bones, injuring internal organs and causing severe bleeding.” President Donald Trump and Melania Trump visited Scalise and one of the Capitol Police officers shot in the hospital.
